What problem does Cahogi solve?
Cahogi™ helps keep wet pet food fresher between servings, so your pet can enjoy the next meal the way it’s supposed to taste. Less waste. More value from every can.
How does it work?
How is Cahogi different from ordinary pet food lids?
Ordinary lids and covers trap air inside with the food. Cahogi removes the air, sealing the can and reducing oxygen exposure between servings. The pump removes trapped air that ordinary covers leave behind. It takes only a few seconds and creates the vacuum that helps hold the lid securely in place.
What can sizes will it fit?
We’re starting with industry standard 13 oz cans, then expanding to others. Future sizes may include 3 oz, 5.5 oz, and other common formats based on demand from pet lovers.
When will the Kickstarter launch?
Cahogi is a new kind of pet food preservation system, and we are taking a deliberate approach to launch.
Before opening the Kickstarter, we are building an early supporter list to make sure there is enough interest to support a successful campaign. Once enough pet owners have joined the list, we will launch with limited early-bird reward tiers for our first supporters.

Does Cahogi replace refrigeration?
No. Cahogi is designed to help reduce air exposure in opened canned pet food, but it does not make food shelf stable. Opened canned pet food should always be refrigerated and handled according to the pet food manufacturer’s instructions.
